Planning decision: leachate tank

The Parish Council has been notified that the planning application S/094/1050/19 (PL/0064/19) seeking permission from Lincolnshire County Council to retain the leachate holding tank at Kirkby on Bain Landfill Site in Tattershall Road has been granted, with the condition that it shall be removed and the land restored in accordance with the approved scheme for the wider landfill site once the site ceases to produce leachate.                Continue reading

Fibre Broadband – the cables are going in!

Image courtesy ChannelBiz UKHaving learned recently from Lincolnshire Broadband Programme Manager Steve Brookes that  “……work is currently on hold because of high build costs…..” imagine my surprise this morning when I saw fast broadband fibre cables being installed in Kirkby on Bain main street. I had a chat with one of the installation crew, and he confirmed that they were installing fibre-to-the-premises cable today. They also kindly allowed me to take a picture, provided they were not in shot:

The Parish Council has been notified by Lincolnshire County Council Highways Department of the following closures, apparently for resurfacing work, affecting Kirkby on Bain residents and visitors:

PERIOD OF CLOSURE:  26/06/2017 to 07/07/2017 (5 days in this period) ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:  B1191, B1192, Pauls Lane and Kirkby Lane / Tattershall Road

LOCATION:  Main Road (Rimes Lane to Moor Lane), Roughton

PERIOD OF CLOSURE:  12/06/2017 to 27/06/2017

Equinox festival licence hearing

The application made by Medieval Chemistry Ltd to hold a music festival called Equinox on the weekend of September 18th at Scholey Park will be heard by the East Lindsey District Council Licensing Act 2003 Committee on July 4th at Tedder Hall, Manby Park, Louth.

Objections to the application have been submitted by Kirkby on Bain and Tattershall Parish Councils, Coningsby Town Council, two East Lindsey District Councillors and an unprecedented number of individuals living in Kirkby in Bain. Open Garden – all welcome!

We can be found at the end of the village nearest to the gravel pits; we are the 4th house from the end – you will see a yellow NGS sign to the garden. Parking is next door in our neighbour’s field.

Yurts application approved by ELDC

planning_wordcloud_150Planning approval has been granted by East Lindsey District Council for five yurts to be sited on land at Beech Cottage off Tattershall Road, despite objections by Kirkby on Bain residents and the Parish Council. The decision was made at ELDC’s Planning Committee meeting on Thursday (December 10). The successful applicant is Mrs V. Chalupa of Brant Broughton near Lincoln. Related post
