Only weeks away now for that weekend when Woodhall Spa once again rolls out the time machine and sets the dial to the1940s. This year the festival is scheduled for the third weekend in July – 15 / 16th, so if you enjoy flypasts, parades, period costumes, big band music and the like, all to be found in one of the most attractive villages in Lincolnshire, then you know where to be that weekend.
As part of the Horncastle Arts and Music festival, this concert offers you a varied programme including Schubert’s Mass in G, Elgar’s “From the Bavarian Highlands” and a selection of Victorian Music. It’s at St. Mary’s Church, Horncastle, starting 7.30pm on Saturday May 13th. There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Air Ambulance.

Horncastle and District Choral Society presents excerpts from J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and a selection of carols at St Mary’s Church, Horncastle at 7.30pm on Saturday December 10th. Admission is £7 to include refreshments, and tickets are available on the door or from choir members.
The choir is conducted by Caroline Chadderton and accompanied by Chris Hinkins. Soloists: Gail Hinkins, Gerald Moreton. Len Sutton, Isobel Wilson and Paul Wright.
Come along to the Rotary Club of Horncastle’s Senior Citizens’ Concert. It’s at Banovallum School in Boston Road from 2 to 4pm, and attractions include the Horncastle Ukelele Band, Horncastle Community Choir and the Julie Deane dancers.
