Two Dads of children attending the Kirkby on Bain Primary School have volunteered to complete a 100 mile sponsored bike ride on 16th October to raise money to further enhance the school’s nature reserve and to boost opportunities for all pupils to enjoy outdoor learning.
Mr Cassell and Mr Eke have planned a route that visits 18 Lincolnshire nature reserve sites, reflecting the reason for raising the money. They are riding a mile for every pupil in school and you can support them via their Just Giving page.Continue reading →
This year’s event in support of Lincolnshire’s finest buildings takes place on September 9th. The county is famous for its historic churches and it’s not too late to help preserve them by sponsoring someone you know to hit the lanes or cheer the riders on at our local churches on the day. If you would like to have ago yourself you can visit as many or as few churches as you like on the day, and it doesn’t matter whether you walk, run or cycle. Full details here.Continue reading →
Well done to those who braved the elements to cycle from church to church this year in aid of the Lincolnshire Churches’ Trust.Despite the rain and wind they raised a grand total of £590, up on last year’s total. Thanks go to all the riders and their sponsors.
And an innovation too, as John Dudley recorded the event on video:
It’s time to saddle up and hit the road for the Annual Sponsored Bike Ride “Ride+Strides”, in aid of our church, scheduled for Saturday 10th September. This event is once again operated by the Lincolnshire Churches Trust, and last year’s event in Kirkby on Bain raised a much appreciated grand total of £552. Please support this year’s ride and see if we can beat the record!
If you are not convinced, do download this poster sent in by John Dudley – it says it all. To find out how you can help raise some cash for urgent repairs, contact our local organiser, Betty Dixon, on 01526 353395. Continue reading →
