Kirkby on Bain Parish Councillors have been informed by East Lindsey District Council Licensing Section that the organisers of Equinox Festival have applied for a premises licence at a new location near Grimsby. After years of dogged opposition to noisy music festivals held at Scholey Park, this news was welcomed by Councillors representing the concerns of village residents adversely affected by noise nuisance.
Chairman of the Council Sam Midgley commented: “To all those involved over the past few years and the hard work put in by you and all the others, for your perseverance I salute you all and thank you.”
Full planning permission has been granted by East Lindsey District Council to carry out alterations to the church to provide a stone guard on the existing east elevation windows. For details of the application, see the previous post.
