In most cases the planning authority for this civil parish is East Lindsey District Council (ELDC), but in a few cases it may be Lincolnshire County Council. Applications for planning permission affecting Kirkby on Bain are routinely notified to your Parish Council for consideration. Although Parish councils cannot make planning decisions, being involved in town and country (land use and spatial) planning is one of their most important concerns. Councillors read every application thoroughly and often discuss applications among themselves and at scheduled Council Meetings, which are open to the public. When necessary the Parish Council submits comments on behalf of the community to the planning authority.
All the planning notices received by the Parish Council are posted on the home page of this website as soon as they are notified, including a reference number and a link to enable you to comment personally online if you wish. Planning notices are also displayed by the planning authority near the proposed development site, and sent directly by letter to those residing near it. You can also access ELDC applications online via the Kirkby on Bain Parish Council website or by using the ELDC planning application simple search page.
If you have concerns about a planning notice, you should submit your comments in writing, either online or by letter, to the relevant planning department, regardless of any comments made by the Parish Council. You must quote the reference number provided on the relevant application notice, and you must do this before the published deadline. If you do submit a comment to the planning authority as an individual it’s a good idea to let the Parish Council know too.
If you are unfamiliar with commenting on planning applications, please visit the ELDC Local Plan and Guidance page before you submit your comments.
View all planning notices received (and related posts,) since 13/10/15.
