Please vote for Emma

emma_awardGreat news for the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa – director Emma Brealey has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s Midlands Family Business Awards, in the ‘Director of the Year’ category. Emma was in competition with over 120 entries from family businesses across the Midlands, and she is now among seven finalists in her category. Expert judging took place in September and the results will be announced at an awards ceremony on 17th November.

This year there’s a new People’s Choice award category. This involves an entirely public vote allowing you to support one finalist, so you can help Emma by voting for her between now and the end of the month. To cast your vote, you must register first here. It’s one vote per email address; no other use is made of your email address and you won’t get any subsequent marketing messages or mail.

She also has her own views about running a successful family business: “Family businesses are incredibly diverse and so every finalist in the Midlands Family Business Awards will have a unique and interesting story to tell. Ours is about how we have addressed recent market challenges through ambitious strategic development whilst maintaining a family business culture and the traditional aspects of our business that our customers enjoy.”

The Midlands Family Business Awards scheme is run as a not-for-profit service by the Wilson Organisation, aiming to recognise exceptional individuals and entrepreneurial talent from businesses across the Midlands.
