Shanti Festival applies for a licence

The Parish Council has been notified by the Principal Licensing Officer at East Lindsey District Council that a licence application has been made for a three-day music festival at Scholey Park, Tattershall, on Friday 1 July until Sunday 3 July 2016.

 

The closing date for representations regarding the licence application is 21 April 2016.  Further details:

“The festival is to raise funds for the Lincs2Nepal Charity. A covering letter has been submitted with the licence application summarising and giving a description of the proposed event. The licence application seeks the licensable activities of the sale of alcohol for consumption both on and off the premises and the provision of late night refreshment and regulated entertainment.

Music at the festival will run during the following times:

Friday: 1000 Hours to Midnight
Saturday: 1000 Hours to Midnight
Sunday: 1000 Hours to 2300 Hours.

The sale of alcohol at the festival will be during the following times:

Friday: 1000 Hours to Midnight
Saturday: 1000 Hours to Midnight
Sunday: 1000 Hours to 2300 Hours.

There will be no time restriction regarding the provision of late night refreshment.”

  • The proposed venue is not in the civil parish of Kirkby on Bain, but the Parish Council is taking an active interest in this matter because of the possibility of noise nuisance adversely affecting residents in our village, as experienced with past festivals on this site.
