New deal for Lincolnshire children

We all want the best for our children and grandchildren, but sometimes opportunities for enriching their development are hard to come by in a county like Lincolnshire, especially outside our main towns. Fortunately, help is now at hand.

Last December over 50 cultural, arts and education professionals attended an event called “What if Every Child Could Fly in Lincolnshire?” at Lincoln Drill Hall to demonstrate their passion and enthusiasm in supporting all children and young people in the county in having the opportunity to experience great arts and culture. The event was so successful that a follow-up event is planned.

“Taking Off: Exploring Cultural Education in Lincolnshire” will explore the findings from What if Every Child Could Fly in Lincolnshire? and further the discussion, considering how Lincolnshire can grow its cultural engagement with every child and young person.

If you are interested in joining soundLINCS, Magna Vita and The Mighty Creatives the day for your diary is 16 March. The event will be held at Butlins Skegness PE25 1NJ, starting at 10:00am and ending at 3:00pm. Entrance is free, but you need to book, so visit The Mighty Creatives website, where you will also find further details of this exciting project.
